A Call for Moderation is intended to be a thoughtful, authentic, and loving response to the deepening cultural divide in the Midwest. Themes of holiday gatherings and family traditions give way to the spring turkey hunting season of the new year. This new exhibition features paintings, found objects, installation, video, and a communal meal. The title for the exhibition comes from a 1964 Republican Presidential primary speech by Governor of New York, Nelson Rockefeller, a noted champion of the arts, who warns that at stake β€œis whether the Republican Party shall remain a party of progress, moderation, and responsibility or whether it shall become a party of narrow radical extremism.”
