Double Bridge at Project Project

Double Bridge is a collaborative art exhibition between artists Isaiah Jones, Byron Anway, and the musical group Red Cities. This exhibition will include video and physical installations, live musical performances, and free take-home art posters. The art posters will include QR codes for free digital downloads of the musical performances. Double Bridge was made possible, in part, through generous funding from The Hixson - Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln.

Bios

Byron Anway is an Assistant Professor of Practice and Foundations Coordinator at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln in the School of Art, Art History, and Design. Among other venues, his work has been exhibited at the Joslyn Art Museum in Omaha, NE, Manifest Gallery in Cincinnati, OH, and the Soo Visual Arts Center in Minneapolis, MN. His work has been published twice in New American Paintings the West, Manifest Gallery’s International Painting Annual, and the Prairie Schooner.

Isaiah Jones was raised in the mountains of western North Carolina. She received a MFA in Printmaking from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in May of 2021. Jones utilizes traditional printmaking, language, and storytelling to create individual prints and large-scale installations. Her work investigates love, desire, abuse, memory, and the act of observation. Jones lives, works, and teaches in Lincoln, NE.

Red Cities is a loud and unruly Lincoln, NE-based garage rock and psychedelia band. Wearing their 70’s Detroit influences proudly, Red Cities’ proto-punk riffage and socialist message are at home in any venue that loves volume.
